Ann Blackley (nee Marcou)
Part time Veterinary Surgeon
Ann joined us in November 2008 as our part time veterinary surgeon after retiring for the second time!
Ann has worked in Liverpool since 1969 owing her own practice in Fern Grove, Liverpool which was then relocated as the first opinion practice at the University of Liverpool. Following retirement of this Ann worked as the official veterinary surgeon for the Mersey Port Health Authority, certifying foods coming from third world countries into the European Union, ensuring protection of human and animal health.
Ann missed working in small animal practice and therefore decided to come and work with us.
Ann has two Jack Russell terriers named Syd and Buttons and a cat named Ollie (who was found in a bin bag!). They keep Ann and her husband Ron busy in their spare time.
Ann says, “It’s such a joy to work with such a happy team.”
