Richard originally started working for us in 2006 initially behind reception whilst still at Vet School in Liverpool. Richard impressed us with both his animal and client care along with his veterinary knowledge so much so that he was offered a full time position following graduating in 2010.

Richard is originally from Cardiff, South Wales however now lives with his wife Carol, in Chester. They met whilst at the University of Liverpool. He enjoys both playing and watching sports such as Rugby and Cricket and captained the rugby team at Vet School. Carol and Richard both enjoy the outdoors and are keen travellers, this includes Richard reaching Everest Base Camp whilst trekking in the Himalayas of Tibet and Nepal.

Richard has four sisters and an 8 year old Border Collie called Speck! His veterinary areas of interest include orthopaedics, cardiac conditions and obesity management.

When asked what his favourite quote is he said “Never forget to ask, and never underestimate, an owner’s opinion about their pet’s condition, no one knows a pet better than its owner!”
